Creativity maintenance relative to the emotional aspect of our being

As stated in the topic, "Creativity maintenance common sections for the spiritual, mental, emotional and physical aspects of being," relative to manifesting a desire as seen in the creative process the existing form is in some way or another must dissolve or be sacrificed to release the energy to flow into the new creation. The resulting flow of energy released in the dissolution and flowing into the unmanifested and subsequently into the new creation is experienced as a feeling and is often labeled as some type and kind emotion.

The emotional aspect of being is about how we label what we feel. Whether we realize it or not, our creative power is accessed through our feelings and what we sense. Unless we feel the need to act for whatever reason we feel, we will not act. We need a flow of energy within our being to make something happen. The greater the creative effort, the greater the feelings, the passion and the flow of energy we need to have.

In reality, that which we call emotional is only a name our mind gives a particular set of feelings or sensations we experience. Emotional are simply strong feelings labeled by the mind. Any time we label what we feel with a name, we risk falling into the trap of the past rather than being open to what we feel as we feel it in the moment. We need to become aware of what we feel in that moment to know if we area feeling freedom or restraint/restriction. Labeling what we feel causes us to force what we feel into the mold of the past experience rather than being open to what is, as it is. We need to be open to what we feel and be allowed to experience the feelings we have. This is especially true early in life if for no other reason to know what we feel and what it feels like to feel. Most of us are not allowed to be in strong emotions and as such, we never learn to properly channel the feelings into creating experiences which serves us. If we are not open to feeling, for whatever reason, there is a aspect of our creative power which we deny. In denying that creative power, there are areas in our life in which we become powerless or have insufficient power to make certain things happen. Here again, we then appear to at the mercy of the external world.

In regards to what we feel, one of the primary goals of the maintenance of the emotional aspect of being is to stop labeling what we feel. We need to learn to become mindful and aware and be with what is, as it is. The only thing we should say about what we feel is provide a description of what we feel. All we should say is that we have a feeling that is pleasurable and/or expansive and we desire to move to increase what we feel. Or, we have a feeling that is not pleasant and we desire to move away form the discomfort if not pain. Emotional maintenance is being aware of what we feel and doing the work such as dealing with the pain of the past necessary to being open to the depth and breadth of what we feel.

As an emotional practice, we need to become mindful and aware where we label what we are feeling with some words or phrase which can be characterized as emotional. Then look to use a word or phrase which only describes what we are sensing and feeling. For example, rather than saying, "I felt great anger at Mr X when he stopped me from going to the show" look to become mindful and aware of our speech. For example if we are aware to catch what we say, we could say, " I felt my energy was severely blocked when I was stopped by Mr. X from going to the show." The idea is to focus on exactly what we are feeling.

Periodically review the exercises used to calibrate the internal compass. Look to see what types and kinds of activities in life allow us to feel a fullness of being, an expansion within our being, experiencing wonderment and "Ah" at life, and/or a passion live and engage life. We need to learn to do a sufficient number of these types and kinds of activities to maintain a sufficient enthusiasm and passion for life. We need to remember we cannot give what we do not have. If we do not do the maintenance on our car, change the oil, give it gas it will not run properly. When we maintain a passion in our life and for life we have the energy we need for what we desire to do and we have the ability to call forth a similar passion in another.

Explore our past to see where we have bound our creative life energy and do what is necessary to free ourselves from whatever reason we have which is causing us to keep our energy bound. We can start such an exploration by drawing a life map or telling our story being aware of what events in our life causes us to withdraw in some way.

Look to explore our beliefs to see if we hold beliefs which allow for the free expression of our energy and expansion of our being. Do our beliefs allow us to expression passion the passion we have in whatever form it may take that serves us and those in our life? Look to where what we believe limits or otherwise impedes the free expression of our passion and does not allow us to hold our creativity sacred, replace the belief with a belief which better serves us to do so.

Look to where in life we are not free to express what we feel. Look to see if we give away our creative power in such situations or we simply withdraw.

Look to what we would like to do in life that would allow us to feel freedom and experience new and different situations, activities and people. Go into our creative imagination and image having such experiences fully savoring the experience.
