Path of the muse
to reveal and unfold our truth in the world
Path of the muse
Becoming a lighthouse and the muse for another

There are many ways to recreate and/or transform our life. The question is, “Is there a way to transform our life to access and become the truth of our own being in a fast, gentle and easy way?’ The answer is we come fully equipped with internal guidance for such a journey. We only need to learn to follow it.

The internal guidance or internal compass for such a transformation is based on an inner feeling. It is based on the feeling of what gives us life, a passion for life and a desire to live and engage life. It is what gives us a passion to create a life worth living. It is to find this feeling within and to see what externally draws us into life and excites us about life. It is to find our muse. When we find such a individual or external focus, we need to follow it completely as a single point focus. We need to continually focus until the passion the muse causes to arise within us shatters the cage of our own making and all the limitations we have imposed on ourselves in life. In that shattering our truth becomes revealed to the world.

The path of the muse (Top)

The way the muse works in transformation is conceptually very, very simple. There is a flame within our heart that represents the life we desire to live and that we incarnated to express. It is a life that unfolds from the essence of our being and who you really are. When we are doing what it is we should be doing, we are in exquisite pleasure and passion. We are consumed by what we do. There is no perception of time in such a state of being. We and what it is we do are one and the same. We are that energy being expressed. There is no ego for there is no separation between us and the energy. However, this flame has been encrusted over, hidden or contained, with our enculturation and the beliefs we carry from our past experiences of this or any other life past life and some how do not allow this flame to be expressed.

As a result, there is a belief that it is the physical world and involvement with the physical world which does not let this flame within our heart shine brightly. The implication is that there is something wrong with physical Creation that does not allow us to shine our light the way we were created to shine Consequently, many traditions use path of denial and suppression of life where we denies what arises from within. Rather, we are told to follow prescribed external truths and/or the guidance of an external teacher. In the techniques of this “path of denial,” we essentially attempt to bore through the encrustation around the heart by some method determined by what ever practice that we choose.

The concept is that since it is the involvement with the physical plane and the body that causes the encrustment around the heart, in denying the physical world and the body, one stops the encrustment from growing. Then the task become to simply bore through the encrustment with some give technique. We can and will get there but it will take some time. Once we bore through we begin to channel our flame through that tinny bore hole and we may or may not allow that hole to expand. We will feel bliss and joy but only to the size of the hole we create through our beliefs that allows that flame to come out. The experience of this tiny bore hole is that there is a practice we do in life that allows us to have an inner bliss and joy. Yet we cannot readily take that practice into the world and into everything we do. So rather than live life, we seek to remove ourselves from life trying to expand the practice that gives us the bliss and joy.

Most spiritual practices in the world today are of this type. They are very narrow, very well defined and very focused. They are capable of providing a bliss and joy in life but it is at the expense of our life. Rather than living life in bliss and joy we removes ourselves from life to follow a prescribed practice that seems to provide such fulfilment.

However, the muse works a natural flow. The muse does not ask us to deny because it is aware of what we feel and we feel our deepest desires and what gives us life. Our flame does not want to be contained. It wants to express itself. What lies within our heart is like the waves of the ocean beating on the shore wearing it away. Our creative passion beats against the wall of the encrustment continually trying to get out. Some of us feel this blocked energy as pain and seek to somehow numb the pain rather than removing the cause of the pain.

What is important here is there is already an energy within our being working for us telling us how to get our passion out. We only need to listen to it. Within this understanding there an encrustment around our heart. But the encrustment does not come from the physical world. Rather it comes from how we have had to deny the expression of ourselves in the physical world. We deny ourselves either because we are afraid of being hurt in some way and suffering pain or we are afraid of displeasing those on whom we depend to live our life. Yet, all we really need to do is to set a clear intention to become free and follow the flow that already exist within our being and, as an energy, it will find the path of least resistance to express itself. But we cannot deny that energy and where it is taking us. You must flow and go with it.

Now, the beauty of this path is this. If we recognize what is giving us passion and love of life, and go with the energy amplifying this energy however we can, we build up a natural pressure. We literally are building up the pressure inside this sphere of encasement around the heart. As we pump up the energy, the pressure builds and the temperature begins to rise. As the temperature of our heart rises, it will feel like we are in a pressure cooker.

Now we can become afraid and run away from the pressure and temperature we feel rising within us. As President Truman is reported to have once said, “If you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen,” is fully applicable here. If we can’t stand the internal build up of pressure and heat to sit with it, we need to get out as fast as we can and go do some other path. If this happens, it is clear this approach to freeing our creative spirit is not for us for we will need to keep pumping and pumping this energy even with everyone and everything around us is telling us to stop.

To stay on this path, we must continue following the passion within ourselves. There then come a point where we completely shatter the encrusted vessel around our heart. It is as though our heart has achieved a critical mass and explodes as a bomb going off or a star is born. Metaphysically this is what happens. We literally build up such an intense pressure and temperature that we create a metaphysical self sustaining thermonuclear reaction. We begin to glow and radiate that which is us and we become that self radiating star in the sky. We and our being are one and no one can extinguish it no matter how hard they try. We will die first before we give up our passion and our heart. We will have arrived and have become who we were always meant to be..

Now once this encrusted vessel shatters, the pressure and temperature drop quickly and we will feel as though all has been lost and our passion has amounted to nothing for all the energy seems to have dissipated. However, nothing is farther from the truth. Since there is no longer the vessel keeping our passion contained, we are now radiating out in all directions. It only feels as if we are not longer radiating. But everyone around us will begin to see us differently because we are operating from and internal glow and an internal warmth. We are no longer the same. we are completely different. we are reborn and we are remade.

As we continue to live your passion, our glow and our intensity slow starts to build again. We get more and more confidence. we become more and more self assured of ourselves. As we radiate more our external world begins to change and evolve to reflect the new us. Additionally, as we radiate light, we will see the world differently. Much become illuminated. we see with a new clarity and a new perspective. People will see our light and be drawn to us. As a boat follows the light house in the night when it is navigating unsafe waters, people will be drawn to us to help navigate their lives. An enlightened being cannot not help to enlighten just by living. They cast a light into the universe showing the way, being the way. However, others feel intensity. They feel the hot sun and only want to hide. But they hide from themselves for the intensity of the light only reveals their own inadequacies.

In choosing to follow the path of our muse, we will be different beyond belief. When we follow the path of the muse, there is good news and bad news. The good news it is probably the fastest path available to enlighten ourselves of the truth of our own being. The bad news is that there are many fears that need to be faced and the pressure can become unbearable and it is intense beyond belief. Even with a focused effort, it may take as long as two years to shatter the encrustment around the heart. Pretty tough stuff this encasement. The whole process of shattering the vessel and becoming a fully glowing individual could take as long as six years. The number six being representative of man is not by chance. We need to look to seven years before we become that self radiating body at one with our passion in a new world of our own making. Seven years of focus concentrated effort is too much of a discipline for most people, even if it is a path of indulgence. But the alternatives only takes lifetimes. The choice is yours.

Becoming a lighthouse and the muse for another (Top)

Pursuing the muse becomes a way of enlightenment of, or rather about, what is symbolized in the heart. It open ourselves to feeling - to what you feel and how you feel. We will feel ourselves and we will feel others. If we allow ourselves to freely experience another we will feel the essence of how they have created themselves. For example, if they live their creative passion we will feel a creative passion. They will feel the fire of creation and be very aware of it. We may not like what we feel arising from them but we will nevertheless feel it. We will feel their essence and what they came here to do. Similarly, if they live in denial, we will feel their denial and probably the pain the experience around that denial. We can feel the pain which gave rise to their denial or we will feel the pain they experience because of their denial. .

If we feel the creative passion in another, we will remember and recognize it in ourselves but we will also begin to remember all the pain of the past. So to another. If we live our creative passion, they will recognize it in themselves but they will also being to remember all the pain of the past that cause them to deny their creative passion.

The reason is the last time we or they have felt such a creative passion was probably as a very young child before we became consciously aware and consciously aware of ourselves. In experiencing someone in the spontaneity and innocence of childlike play of discovery and exploration who is living their creative passion we will feel deeply and powerfully for a short period of time. Then the ghost of the past surfaced to haunt us. We will be reminded of all the reasons of the past as to why we lost it. We become frighten by what we are experience because of all the pain of the past that occurred the last time we were in such a state surfaces as feelings. That past becomes an expectation of what we are about to experience. Unless we are mindful and aware, all we can do is withdrawal. Since the pain usually occurs so early in life and before we developed our conscious mind and we had well constructed memories we could consciously recall, we become confused as to what exactly has been the cause and source of the fear we feel. What we each experience in this regard is true for everyone. It is how we create the future in the image of the past because of how we shut down in childhood.

If we allows ourselves to step out of mind and freely experience another in that creative state of spontaneous and innocent childlike play of discover and exploration we will be able to feel what that other has created within themselves. It is a gift we all have and we do it subconsciously all the time. However, we have shut down our ability to do it consciously. Rather, we have to be out of out thinking and judging mind to experience it. The ultimate Source of our being is both a gentleness and love that nurtures and sustains another and creates a safe and secure space for another to feel safe. But it can also be experienced as the passion and flow to create as powerful as a volcano spewing forth lava into a new creation.

In any case, if we can experience our creative passion even for a moment in accompanying spontaneous and innocent childlike play, it becomes like a flash of lightening that illuminates the path momentarily so that we knows it exists and that it is possible for us to find our way back to live in that passion. However, unless the light shines again, we cannot mark out the path for others but we know it exists and can look for it. What needs to be understood, we are all lights for each other and can shine our uniqueness into each life to be that lightening flash if the person experiences us as who we really are as opposed to focusing on the ego.

It is why Christ said, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Light.” for he lived true to his internal light. We all are the light. We all are the way in one way or another. We each are unique creations and in the oneness of the universe we can illuminate that part of ourselves that lies within the other. We can use that connection to awaken the other to their own truth.

If we live true to ourselves that part we illuminate in another will show them how to be true to themselves and we become that light for them to find their own truth. Yet all our paths are different. Some of us are more important at a given point in history than others. Just as different light (red, blue green, infared, ultraviolet etc) illuminates different aspects of creation and we can see differently with each light, each of us incarnate at a given time because it is our light that can show the way for people for a given time and a given place. We all have a time and place to become a lighthouse for others to find their way home. When creation needs us, it calls us forth to be the light. We are not being called forth to stand in New York harbor to guide everyone in the world to freedom although we could play that role if we wanted. Rather, there will be a time and a place for us to be the equivalent of that role.

When that time comes, we have a choice. The chose is to become that light or continue to live within the encrustation on our heart. The time is now as it always is. We only need to choose to awaken to the truth within our own being. In doing so, we become a light for others.
