The issue we face in creativity (Top)

Complex integration is about fact that a truly creative endeavor requires us to step out of mind. We need to realize the mind which created the problem we face will not be the mind that will solve our problem. If it could, we would not be facing the problem. Our current mind only knows the past and what it has experienced.

The solution to our problem is not something our current mind has experienced. It will not know how to solve the problem it faces until it changes its perspective and gets the minimum set of experience to piece together the solution. To find a creative solution, we need to step out of mind and into a different world. We need to be able to move into the world of infinite possibilities to explore what is possible. We enter such a world through our creative imagination.

To enter such a world and bring back what we find, we need to build the equivalent of a bridge. To move from one world into the other there needs to be some type and kind of bridge we use to cross from one world to the other. The bridge needs to cross from our existing world into the world of possibilities which lies outside of our current mind. We need to be able to move into the world of possibilities to find explore what is possible. Then bring what we find back into the world from which we start. We need to build a bridge in the sense that our mind does not have the experienced to know how to create the solution we need and that we find. As said above, if it did, we would not be facing the problem that we do. The bridge is what we use to both find and bring back the solution. The bridge helps to make our imaginary solution real.

A bridge has two supports to cross from one bank to the other. One bank reflects the world in which we currently live and reflects the way we currently live in that world based on what we have come to think and believe as a result of the experiences we have had. The support or pier we build for our bridge in our existing world is what we have learned and know form our existing world that will support what we find in the world of possibilities. The other bank is to live in a world where we are not controlled by the experiences we have had but to expand into the depth and breadth of what is possible. Here the support is build from what we know that exists in both the world from which we came and the world of possibilities.

In traveling through the world of infinite possibilities it is possible to become literally become lost in exploring the world of infinite possibilities. We can literally become so preoccupied with what we find or what is possible that we never come back to the world we leave. To the outside world we become crazy or no longer live in a rational and normal way. Some even become disfunctional in the sense they are no longer productive to society. To not get lost, we need some ground point or reference point which we can always access to keep our bearing.

In this regard, when we take a journey into the world of possibilities is very helpful to have someone in the current world in which we live who says it is okay to cross and explore what is possible and they support our journey. This individual needs to be able to say, "I have been there and have come back." They can help keep us focused and grounded so we come back to where we left. The most important role they play is to provide constant reminded as to why we started the journey and what we are seeking in that world of infinite possibilities.

Then there needs to be someone at the other end of the bridge, in the unknown, who say, "It is okay to come in, I live here - find what you need then go back - if you wish, I can help you to explore the possibilities, guide you to what you seek, or just support you in your exploration." Then, when what is needed is found, this individual can help us to bring what is found back into the world as we currently know. They can help us to grow and evolve what we find much the way we would plant a seed and watch it grow to maturity and bear fruit.

The dream rainmaker, dream midwife and dream nanny actually fulfill the roles of these two individuals at either end of our bridge. However, more often than not, these two individual or the dream rainmaker, dream midwife and dream nanny are not available to assist us in our journey. This is one reason why many individuals cannot seem to find solutions that really get to the root of their issue and solve their problem to recreate their life with lasting results. Many seem to go in endless circles trying to find an inner happiness and joy but whatever they try never ultimately lasts..

Why we don’t find creative solutions that truly address the root of our problem is because there is no one to effectively direct us into the world in which we need to go and no one to guide us in that world so as to not become lost. However, there is a way around the problem of not having these individuals in our life. We do have the lessons learned of those who have taken such a journey before us. What is provided in the Releasing Your Unlimited Creativity material and understanding are those lessons. They provide a way that can be used to find creative solutions that address the root of our issue and not become lost in the world of infinite possibilities.

Capitalizing on the lessons learned of individuals who have taken such journey, the Releasing Your Unlimited Creativity material provide directions to access our internal compass so that we never lose focus wherever we go, in any reality, in any aspect of Creation. That is, we need to be mindful and aware of what we feel and that which gives us the fullness of being, a fullness of life, and/or an inner satisfaction that never runs dry no matter what is happening in our external world and us it to keep focused.

On the point of using our feeling to keep us grounded and focused in exploring the unknown world of possibilities, several things need to be noted. It needs to be remembered there are deep undercurrents in creation. We can feel these undercurrents. By locking onto any given undercurrent we can follow it to a given destination. The undercurrent we need to follow is either the undercurrent which results form the intention for our life or the undercurrent giving rise to what we desire to create. Our journey is much easier if these two align with each other.

The second point we need to remember is that our body and its environment is our truth with our consciousness manifested. Whatever we experience is what we have desired to experience as our consciousness manifested and has real part and an imaginary part. The real part we can feel and is a result of the flow of energy giving rise to the experience we have. The imaginary part is how we perceive what we experience through the perception and illusion of mind. We keep "grounded in reality" by keeping focused on what we feel. This is why when the Buddha sat under the Boda tree and was being tormented by the demons in his mind he kept touching the ground. He knew the ground and what he felt was what we real. The demons came from his own imagination. What he could feel was what was his truth at the moment. So too with each of us.

What we feel is what is real in the moment. What we feel is the real part of world of imagination and the real part of any solution we find in the world of infinite possibilities. In being open to feeling and having the ability to discern what we feel, we will never lose focus in whatever Creation puts before us.

Overview complex integration (Top)

Complex integration is about addressing the fact when we use the creativity perspective where we hold our creativity sacred to explore our creative imagination, what we experience and find can be so different from the way we live our life. The question becomes, "How can we use what we find in our creative imagination when it is so different from the world we experience?"

We can live much of our life from within this creativity perspective and hold our creativity sacred and never experience anything radically different about life. However, there are times when the only way to face an issue in life is we need to become radically different in one way or another to find the solution to the problem we face. Complex integration, it is designed to allow us to step out of our existing world to find the creative solutions we need for whatever situation we face and then return to our world to implement what we have found. Complex integration is about this process. That is, the seemingly complex issue of bringing the creative solution we find in the imaginary world of our creative imagination into the real world we experience every day.

Complex integration is about going into the world of imagination without the normal limits and boundaries and be free to explore options not constrained by our everyday world. The technique is to go into a combination of real and imaginary space, solve a problem that is insolvable in real space. When we find options that works in our imaginary world we then find a way to bring back the real part of the solution that is found into the real world.

Creative  freedom is the ability to do what is described here. It is to be free to go into the creative imagination and to freely explore options without constrain whether they are real or not. It may also require playing with options in prototyping, metatheater, and other forms of physical play. Free exploration allows us to both get to the root of our issue and to find ways around obstacles that are otherwise not possible to overcome. To hold our creativity sacred, as a minimum, is to allow our selves free exploration of all options within our own mind whether or not all those solutions can be brought into the world. The problem we face is that we are not creatively free to explore what needs to be explored. Complex integration provided the conceptual framework to create a space of creative freedom, explore what we find, and bring back a solution that will work in our real world.

The essence of the conception is to explore energy consciousness in the world of imagination. It is to enter the world of imagination with a real problem and look for solutions which solve our problem in areas or ways that seems to have little relations to reality. Yet we can bring back the real part of the solution and find it works in the real world although we use a non existent imaginary world to find the solution. The question is, "What is the real part of our imagination that we can bring back into the real world?’

Origins of complex integration as a creativity technique (Top)

The origins of complex integration arises from a phenomenon of mathematics involving what are called complex numbers. The concept arises from the fact there are certain mathematical problems that could not be solved with real numbers. However they can be solved with using what are called complex numbers. If we use complex numbers, numbers composes of a real and an imaginary part, and enter the imaginary plane of numbers you can make an the unsolvable problem solvable.

All that really needs to be understood is that a complex number is a number with a real part and an imaginary part and there are certain mathematical operations that cannot be solved with real numbers and staying in the space of real numbers. However, by using complex numbers and moving into the imaginary space and the imaginary part of the number the problem can be solved. The solution has a real part and an imaginary part but only the real part is needed and the imaginary part could be discarded.

In essence, the issue can be seen as being suck on a line and being only able to move in two directions, backward and forward. Assume we move forward and there is an obstacle we face that cannot pass because there is no freedom of movement around the obstacle moving only backward and forward. However, if we can step off the line and move in a plane, we can move around the obstacle, come back on our line and continue in our forward path.

The concept of complex integration is a technique which allows us to create an imaginary plane. That imaginary plane allows us to step off the our life and go around our obstacle and continue on our path. The concept of complex integration as a creativity technique, allow us to create an imaginary world or enter the world of infinite possibilities find a way around our problem and come back into the real world with way of being such that the obstacle is no longer an issue.

A more mathematical discussion of this concept is found in the discussion "Origins of complex integration as a creativity technique."

Stepping into complex integration (Top)

The key to complex integration is to accept the fact that we have two parts, a real part and an imaginary part, and we can solve problems within our being that are otherwise unsolvable.

To perform a complex integration or rather to use the technique, we need to be willing to integrate all facets of our complex being into one integrated creative being. This includes all aspects of our being - spiritual, mental, emotional and physical - and all that is in what we consider our real world and all that is in our imagination and the things we consider imaginary. It must be pointed out that what we consider imaginary has real applications in the physical world.

The real part of our being (Top): The real part of our being can be best stated as "that which is, is." It is not dependent on any interpretation, input or judgment by mind. That which is real internally is what we feel and sense. That which is real externally is that which we can all agree upon. That is, we can do some type or kind of "grounded" assessment. More often than not, our grounded assessment is based on some type and kind of observation that can be made which does not depend on who is observing. The real part of our being is often the equivalent of the rules of the creation in which we share with another or as a creation within a creation.

The imaginary part of our being (Top): The imaginary part of our being is real to us and is what gives rise to us being a world unto ourselves. However, it is not something necessarily real to another but it can be. The imaginary part of our being is the unique perception we hold as a result of both the experiences we have had and the illusion of our mind. In our imaginary part where we can create any story we want about whatever we observe and experience by how we interpret and/or judge whatever we observe and/or experience.

What needs to be understood is all that we consider imaginary has a real part. Both what we consider real and what we consider imaginary have a reality. But the imaginary part is dependent on the individual and is a result of the fact that each individual is a unique and independent reality.

In particular, all that we experience, whatever it is, including our thought is a result of perception of a flow of energy. The flow of energy giving rise to what we experience is real. This is especially true of dreams, visions, fantasies, and other experiences that we seem to discard as unreal. There is a flow of energy giving rise to whatever we perceive no matter how bizarre so strange our mind characterizes that energy into something we judge as totally unreal or fantasy. The issue is learning to work with the energy giving rise to what we imagine or we think is imaginary.

In many ways the "imaginary" part of our being has to deal with how "in phase" our mind is with the energy we experience. That is, do we have the minimum set of experience to properly characterize and work with the energy we sense.

Overall integration process (Top): The essence of creation is to transform the existing manifestation of energy into a new form to give us the creation we desire. There are a variety of ways that energy can be processed. In general, the energy at any level must be allow to flow into manifestation and into completion and dissipation. Energy flows according to the path of least resistance. If the flow of energy is blocked in one direction, it will look to flow into another direction. The question is whether or not the new way the energy flows serves us and is something we desire to experience.

Energy that is blocked nonconsciously will flow according to the path of least resistance according to the belief structure that give rise to how we are creating our currently reality. The results may or may not be pleasant depending on what we believes and how the energy needs to flow to dissipate. As perceived by our conscious mind, the energy is flowing in an uncontrolled fashion and creating experiences beyond its control. .

Since we do not know what we nonconsciously believe (if we did it would be a conscious awareness and not nonconscious) we need to realize we may not be seeing reality for what it is. Rather, what the perceive is colored by our nonconscious beliefs. What needs to be realized is that in any situation that we experiences, the only thing that we really know as real is how we feel. Normally we have a real experience and then respond to that experience based on how we view ourselves and our external world thinking we are experience the reality of what is. However, rather that viewing the reality of what is as it is, we only experience the reality we ourselves create within ourselves. In this regard, most of what we experience is imaginary. But what we feel is real however we have created it.

The real issue in with the problem we face (Top): We have a real experience and then interpret that experience. Our unsolvable problem is that our current mind does not know how to interpret what we experience. If it did, we wouldn’t have a problem. We would know and understand what we needed to do for the situation we face.

We need to realize that anything that we say about what we experienced is the interpretation of our current mind. However, if an can knowingly create an experience and see how we interpret that experience we can then see how our mind is interpreting the experience it has. This is the essence of metatheater. By creating an imaginary world or an imaginary space trough our creative imagination, ritual, metatheater and the like, we can explore any and all aspects of a given topic. How one respond and feel the imaginary creation will allow us to access the real part of the experience and bring those feelings back into the real world. In bring the real part of the imaginary experience back into the real world, we can begin to understand what we believe about any topic and how our energy will, or will not flow, to create what we desire. As we begin to see and understand the filters the have, we can begin to see the reality of what is, as it is and know what we need to do in any situation to create what we desire.

Acting within the understanding of complex integration (Top): We can create a way to surface what we believe, think, and/or feel about any topic, any subject or any aspect of our internal self or the external creation we experience. The problem is we cannot solve a problem as it exists in reality for we are often unable to surface what our nonconscious mind believes about a topic. Since many of the beliefs are in our nonconscious mind, we do not know were to look for the beliefs that may be governing our response to the topic of interest because of how beliefs are so integrated and interwoven.

By creating an imaginary world or an imaginary space, we can explore any and all aspects of a given topic. How we respond and feel as to what the imaginary creation represent to us will allow us to bring those feelings back into the real world and understand what we believe about any topic and how our energy will or will not flow. The way to do this is to creates an external experience and then responds to that creation. Since the experience is created, we will they see how they are perceiving our experiences and be able to see the filters they are using to color the experiences that we have. However, what we feel is real and is the reality we experience. As we begin to see and understand the filters we have, we can begin to see the reality of what is, as it is for we begin to see past, or rather without, our filters.

To create an experience to process the energy within our being and/or see the filters we use is to use rituals, metatheater, visualizations and the like. No matter what we do, we need to look to both what we feel and look beyond the physicalness of what occurs as to what we believe about what is occurring. We need to become aware of our spontaneous response to a situation. We need to become mindful and aware to see what surfaces in response to what occurs and what we believe about the situation we create whether real, imaginary, or a combination of the real and imaginary as in ritual and metatherater. Most importantly we need to become mindful and aware of what and how we feel.

Overall summary (Top)

With the concept of complex integration, we can create a virtual experience for anything we wish to create to see if what we experience feels "correct." When what we feel is the correct and in optimum alignment with the flow of our creative life energy and/or what we desire to experience, we can then use that virtual experience to construct the reality and experience of our choice. We only needs to hold the feel of the memory of that experience as a single point focus and learn to navigate from the heart using that feeling as our guiding star. We need and make all the applicable decisions in our life to move toward that memory/feeling and allow our creation to grow and unfold from the seed we plant. In time, we will manifest a reality in a way that the environment in which our find themselves can support it.
