Our mind is the composite of all the experiences we have had and all that we think and believe. It is ever changing as we accumulate experiences and/or we change what we think and believe. It is our mind which allows our consciousness to fulfill the role of consciousness in the creative process and become the cause of the experiences we have. In many ways our mind acts as a switching station which directs the flow of our creative life energy. Mind is a powerful creative tool and key to our creativity in two ways.

One way is it allows us to focus our attention and awareness. Mind is what allows us to become the cause the to be a conscious creator. How we focus our attention and awareness causes feeling to arise or die and become nonexistent. It is our ability to focus our attention and awareness that allows us to create something our of nothing. With our mind, where feelings did not exist we can create the most intense passion. Similarly, with our mind, we can turn the most intense passion into nothing.

The second way is that it is what we think and believe and the experiences we have had which allows us or does not allow us to focus our attention and awareness in a particular way. In this regard, our creative ability is determined by our belief structure - is not on only what we think and believe (both consciously and nonconsciously) but how what we think and believe integrate to determine how and what we think. Additionally, beliefs are webbed together analogous to a spider web. That is, any one belief is interconnected with many other beliefs. When we hold one belief it become attached to other beliefs.

How what we think and believe as a result of our beliefs structure creates the perception we hold. Without the proper perspective we will never find what we desire. To expand our creativity, our creative ability and creative power we need a perspective that can encompass the level of creative ability and creative power we need to access. The perspective we hold is determined by the programming we have received in life and the experiences we have had.

In looking at programming, we need to understand programming affects what we are capable of creating in two ways. It affects what we can and can’t create (1) by what we think we know and (2) by what we don’t know.

Relative to what we think, whether we realize it or not, based on the experiences we have had and who and what we have been enculturated to believe, we have been programmed to believe how the world and society works and who and what we are. Our programming is not always correct on any of these points. We then make assumptions based on what we think and believe arising from this programming as to how we should act and respond in the world to create what we desire that are not always valid. Additionally, what we think is happening in a given situation is not always what is really happening. We are biased in what we experience by how and what we have come to think and believe. In the end, we seem unable to create what we desire. Relative to what we think and believe it is important to take inventory to see if what we think and believe is really correct.

Relative to what we don’t know, there are rules which govern Physical Creation and there are rules which govern our society. Often we are not aware of the rules. Normally, the rules of Physical Creation will not be within our power to change. Although the rules governing our society may not be in our power to change, we don’t have to follow the rules of society if we are willing to face the consequences of going outside the rules of society to follow the Left Hand Path or to simply violate the rules of society. Many seek to circumvent the rules of society or push the edge of their limit simply to have society reviews it rules to address such actions.

In either case, unless our programming is an accurate reflection of the rules of Physical Creation and the rules of our society, what we think and believe will actually interfere and/or impede with want we desire to create. We may find we will need to spend some time and effort learning the rules of Physical Creation and/or our society relative to what we desire to create until we obtain the minimum set of experience we need to have in the area of question. How much time this take depends on how we desire to go about creating what we desire.

Relative to the perspective we hold, some areas that have been observed in the exploration of our creativity to be influenced or affected by our programming are as follows. These areas and aspects listed here is by no means complete. It is a starting point as to the types and kinds of things for which we can look to see the influence of our programming and enculturation.

  • What we understand about our feelings, the ability to discern the different feelings we have, and how we direct what we feeling based on our understanding.

  • Our understanding about how creation/Creation does or doesn’t work. This includes what we understand about how the world works, how we work and what we understand about what we feel is related to both.

  • Our creative ability lies in the development of our mind and how it is focused to direct what we feel and whether or not we are willing to follow our intuitive guidance to act. We do not need a conscious knowledge to act in a truly creative endeavor. Our intuitive guidance and body wisdom are more than adequate to lead us.

  • Understanding there is an awareness that lies in what we feel and behind what we feel and being open to accessing that awareness and the information it has for us.

  • How we do and do not hold our creativity sacred and why.

  • What we and define as success. What we see and define as wealth and abundance. The definitions we use are not as important as whether or not the definitions are defined by society. If it is defined by society, we become tied to the collective as opposed to our own truth.

  • Whether or not we are able to know we have a truth and whether or not we can discern and live our truth.
