The success criteria of the mind refers to what the current mind thinks and believes success is and/or looks like. What mind think is success may or may not be what the heart considers success. The success criteria of the heart give a feeling of fullness of being, expansion of one’s being, an enthusiasm and passion for life and to live life, a feeling of wonderment an "ah." a blossoming of one’s being, an expansion into the infinity of our being, and similar type experience. The success criteria of the heart will give an inner satisfaction or an inner calmness that never runs dry no matter what is happening in the external world or to oneself. There is an inner knowing that what is happening is good and what needs to happen regardless of what our mind thinks. There is a feeling of wholeness and completeness because the experience has been had.

The success criteria of the mind may give feelings as powerful as those which can be obtained by the success criteria of the heart. The main difference is the success criteria of the mind will not give an inner satisfaction which never runs dry. When they are achieved, there is still the feeling something is missing from life. There will be an emptiness or hollowness and there is something more to be obtained. The success criteria of the mind is not satisfying and there is not enough. There is a feeling of lack or incompleteness in some way.
