For this exercise, we wish to contemplate what it means to be unique. To be unique means there is nothing exactly like us. That does not mean we are totally different. It just means we are not identical with any other. Something about us, in some way is different than anything and everyone else. As you do this exercise and it parts, become aware of the thoughts you have and what you feel and where you feel it.

The implication of the Creation Story for the Creativity Perspective in that each of us are a unique, individualized, independent point of consciousness who is an infinite creative being. We are capable of expanding our awareness capable to encompass whatever we wish, including a cosmic consciousness.

Contemplate and think about the fact we are a unique infinity creative being. There is no one on the face of the earth that can meet our uniqueness. On one hand, that is frightening and sad, if not painful in that no one will see us truly as we are. On the other hand it will take many individuals to meet our uniqueness and give us the experiences we desire to have. There is no one person for us. There is the entire created universe there for us. Do not dwell on the loneliness and separation we may feel in our uniqueness and/or long for a particular individual. Dwell on the fact there is a whole universe there for us to experience and many individual who can give we wonderful experiences in life.

Contemplate and think about there is gift you have to give and what you have to give is unique. No one else can give the unique gift you have to give. If you do not, or cannot, give it, all of Creation is a little bit less than it can be. What do you feel in such a realization? Do you fear the responsibility or excitement at the prospect of giving the gift? We only need to realize that when we live our truth and true to who we are, our gift will naturally unfold in the world.

Review the Creation Story for the Creativity Perspective. Contemplate and/or discuss what it really means..

List five things that makes you the same of others.

List five things that, as far as you know, which cause you to be unique and nothing like any other or different than what any other has experienced?

For those five things that you feel cause you to be unique, is there any special gift or talent that you see arising from each of these uniqueness aspects of your being. Alternatively said, what do you have that no one else has and how can that uniqueness give rise to a unique gift to give.

Consider the following:

  • Each moment you experience is totally a unique experience. No one will experience anything the same way that you do even if they are standing right there with you in that moment you experience it.

  • What unique life experiences have you had that can give rise to a unique gift.
