Declaring oneself: Claim the gift(s) and bring it (them) back. Traditional renaming and/or declaring oneself and the gifts we have to give. We can only give to the level we have gone. We cannot give what we do not have. Declaring onself is about putting the pieces back together in awareness of both the depth and breath of our being.

Background

What is declaring oneself? Declaring oneself is about putting the subconscious and unconscious pieces we have explored together into a wholeness and new understanding as to how we define ourselves. It is to understanding what we have found really means for our life and put it into a context to live our live. It is to find and claim the gift or gifts that lie within our being

There are aspects of our being that are not revealed until we die to who and what we have come to believe we are and empty ourselves of how and what we believe. In taking the journeys of “Dying before we die “and “Emptying ourselves,” we need to be willing to claim what surfaces and what we find. It may be something totally unexpected or it may simply be a reorientation of what we current do in a more focus, deeper intense effort. However we must be willing to claim and take ownership of what we find.

One note does need to be made here about going within and exploring the depth of our being. If what we find within our being does not cause us to desire to create the space of freedom for others simply because we know what it feels like to have constraints put on the essence of our being and the freedom of the creative spirit which lies within our heart, we have not gone deep enough. What lies at the Source of Creation and the source/Source of our being is consciousness at play with itself desiring to freely express itself.

The play of the Source is an innocent and spontaneous play of discovery and exploration of itself and its own creative ability and creative power. The first experience of oneness we can face is to realize with an experiential knowing, although we may get to the experience through an intellectual knowing, that what is inside each of us is the same and flows from the same Source. It is to experientially know each is a unique expression of that Source based on the experience we have had. But this is not an intellectual knowing and something only held in mind. It is to know experientially in some way how we are all interconnected and what lies in each heart is of the same essence looking for its free expression.

We cannot give what we don’t have. We can only help an individual to discover themselves and their own truth to the level we have accessed our truth. We can only help an individual to live their truth to the level we live our truth. The deeper we go, the more we see what separates us from another. We can come to see what separates us from each is our unique experience of pain and our the uniqueness of our mind.

The essence of each at the deepest levels of being is the same. When we experience the essence of our being we know what stands between us and another. In that awareness we can create the space for another to become free for we know what needs to be done for ourselves and another. In giving that gift to another, we give that gift to ourselves for we must first allow ourselves to be free to know how to free another.

When we access the source of our being, we are able to become the uniqueness we offer. Knowing the essence of each of us is the same, by looking within we can come to know what gifts we have to off and we can being to see the uniqueness in any other. In declaring our gift we can begin to bring them out. Traditionally there has been a renaming when we bring forth for our inner truth for our world becomes different

The name we have is the name given to us by our enculturated world. The renaming is to choose a name that fits the gifts we have to offer. The renaming is about what we will call ourselves or see ourselves to be after we have been reborn to live our own truth and not what we have been enculturated to believe is our truth. It is to recognize a new life is coming forth and that new life must be appropriately recognized and named. Whether we use this name or not is irrelevant. What is relevant is we recognize the gifts we have and the life that gift brings forth into the world.

Recommendations for declaring oneself

Readjusting the pieces of the puzzle - a reevaluation of our life: Redraw our life map and/or tell our story based on the new information and understanding we have accessed. Include in the story the need to go within and rebirth ourselves based the shedding of our enculturation and the free expression of our truth, Look to see the difference in how we previously lived and how we now see the world and our lives differently. It is to understand even more differences may be revealed as we being to live our truth in the world and we need to be open to what is revealed.. We need to be open to what is revealed to create the space of what is revealed to grow and unfold. Share your life map/story

Exploring our gift through mind: There always is the question, what exactly what is our gift, “Have I got it right?” One way to look at our gift is to look at our knowledge and skill inventory. Look to see what it is we seem to be able to do with ease in life. However, it need to be realized that often we do not know what knowledge and skill we have until we experiment with life and do different types and kinds of things. Only in doing our own experiments do we come to know what we can really do. Yet our gift may not be what it is we do with ease but how we are able to bring our knowledge and skill to bear on a seemingly impossible task. Exploring our gift through mind is to look at our knowledge and skill and see what they point us to do in life. It is then look what activities these knowledge and skills allow us to do that really brings a passion to our life and makes life worth living.

Exploring our gift through feeling: Another way to look at our gift is to look at what activity in life really make us feel alive, make us full of live, gives us a passion for live and to live life. In many ways it is to revisit the calibration of the internal compass exercise. It needs to be realized we came into life to have a life. There is something, some experience, that has called us forth into this world and caused, or is the occasion, for us to have a life in this world. That which gives us life and a desire to be alive moves us toward what we came here to experience. It needs to be noted that feeling will always better direct us toward our gift than what our mind thinks.

Renaming: Whatever we come to think our gifts are, we need to claim them and name them so that our mind knows that with which it will work. The exercise is to rename ourselves based on the gifts we perceive ourselves to have and start living those gifts. However, naming our gifts may in fact limit our gifts. The way around this is to continually be aware of what we feel. If in naming our gifts and living the name, we slowly being to lose the fulness of life and enthusiasm for life, we have named them wrong and are living a construction of mind rather than the truth of our being.
