Need for an intimate relationship (Top)

Our creative spirit is what allows life to come forth within our being and what gives us the passion and energy to engage life to create the experiences we desire.

Unless this creative spirit is free to unfold true to its nature, joy and satisfaction in life will be elusive. It does not matter what success criteria we use and strive to achieve, or how successful we are in the eyes of the world or in the eye of the mind. Joy and inner satisfaction depends on the free unfoldment of this creative spirit. If the needs of this inner creative spirit are not met, there will be an inner longing if not outright physical pain and/or nonphysical pain that one may be lead to somehow suppress. Yet, suppression of this pain, without addressing the origins and source of the pain, can lead to addictions and/or addictive behavior.

To have a flourishing and dynamic creative ability and creative power when needed, and/or to begin to access the full depth and breadth of our creative power, we need to nourish the needs creative needs. Most individuals have not learned to nurture their creative spirit in the way it needs to be nurtured. To nurture our creative spirit we need to become aware of what it needs and give it what it need and not what mind wants to give it. Unless we become intimate with the creative spirit we will be unable to discern its needs. But what exactly do we me when we say one needs to have an intimate relationship with our creative spirit?

What is intimacy (Top)

To become intimate with something, we need to focus our attention and awareness on it. We need to study it and explore its features in detail. Intimacy results from a close study and familiarity with a matter. It is to explore the inner most nature or being of the object. To is to discover and understand what is essential and intrinsic to its nature and being.

To become intimate with another individual we need to both explore their features in detail but also communicate with them at each and every level of their being. Intimacy with an individual is characterized by pronounced closeness in friendship, relationship or association. But it is more than that. Intimacy is usually about being free to express those things that are deeply personal and private. It is about revealing to another those things one is not free to share in public or even with a small group of individuals.

For many, intimacy is only about sexual relations for only in our sexuality do we begin to reveal some of our most deepest and private needs and desires. For some, intimacy means having illicit sexual relations. It is illicit because they are unable to express their sexual needs to a chosen spouse or those in their life so they go else where. For many, sexuality is the only time they are exposed and seen naked by another. As such, intimacy get associated with sexuality. However, one does not have to become sexual to become intimate with someone. True intimacy is about being fully naked in our truth before another at each and every level of our being without the need for any masks covering our truth. In this regard, true intimacy makes one very vulnerable for one is totally revealed.

True intimacy is not about standing up and exposing our truth in nakedness. Rather, intimacy comes from or results from a close or familiarity with another. Yet, being close or familiar with something does not guarantee an intimacy will exist. Becoming intimate takes one to the deeps levels of being. It is about going to the heart - where life and the essence originates. For some, there is great fear in doing that. For some, they become too vulnerable and they need assurances of a safe and secure space to go there.

Intimacy is about going to the heart of another. The heart is seen as that place where firmness of will or courage are seen to reside. In going to our heart we are seen going to our innermost thoughts or feelings. We are see as going to that vital, essential part or the essence of our being. To become intimate with oneself or another we are seen going to the heart for the heart is seen as the central or inner part of anything. In meeting a person in the heart we move to become intimate with them. Although there is spiritual, mental, emotional and physical intimacy that is possible with an individual, it is when we go to their heart and meet them in the heart at their essence are we able see and experience real intimacy at each level of being.

Intimacy with our creative spirit (Top)

To become intimate with our creative spirit we become intimate with both a spirit and an energy. As an energy, we will need to explore our creative power and creative ability to learn the feel of the flow of energy. We will have to do our own experiments to see what does or doesn’t allow us to create what we desire and what excites us and makes us passionate in life and for life.

As a spirit there is a wisdom and awareness and become aware of the awareness which lies in feeling. We will have to become very familiar with what is needed to address the four characteristics of this spirit. You will need to explore its creativity and what is desires to create. We will need to experience and explore its vulnerabilities, its play and its wisdom about life. Each of these four characteristics will give rise to unique issues/problems if the characteristic is denied or somehow suppressed. To be come intimate with our creative spirit is to explore and come to know how each of these characteristic come together in our life and in our creative endeavors.

Becoming intimate with the creative spirit is to realize the body is the creation of our creative spirit and there is a mind body connection. The body is the chosen vehicle for the experiences the creative spirit desires to have. It is to realize the body is what that is actually sensing the unfoldment of this creative spirit and the flow of energy it represents. As such, there is an awareness in the body and we need to become intimately aware of what we feel in our body and within our being to become intimate with what our creative spirit requires us to become. We need to become extremely familiar what we feel and where and when. It is about being very mindful and aware of what we think and feel and the subtle changes in what we feel as our internal and/or external environment change.

The intimate relationship we develop with our creative spirit can be conscious or nonconscious. A conscious relationship is where we consciously provided the opportunities for our creative spirit to create and to play. It is to routinely seek its wisdom and to become aware of when it is vulnerable and why. It is to routinely address and provide for the needs of the body. We can even develop a daily practice of nourishing the creative spirit. However, one can also develop a nonconscious relationship with the creative spirit. Here we routinely utilizes our intuitive guidance to lead our life and look to see if we are maintaining ourselves in a fullness of being or an expansion of our being. Here we simply looks to see what we need to do, or the direction we need to travel, to maintain the fullness of being. It is much easier to live this away but one does need to be more mindful and awareness of the inner language and the unique ways their creative spirit prefers to communicate.

Unfortunately most have never learned of the existence of their creative spirit let alone become aware of how to nurture their creative spirit. As a result they give their creative power away look to the external world that they can only get from their internal world and learning to become intimate with their creative spirit. Those who how do nurture their creative spirit in any most usually do it nonconsciously following their intuitive guidance or their creative desires. Few consciously pursue their creative desires looking to optimize what their creative spirit needs.

The recommended first step to take in becoming intimate with our creative spirit is to calibrate our internal compass and begin using it in our life. Then read the four characteristics of the creative spirit and look to see how effectively you are addressing each of them in our life. Ask our intuitive guidance what we need to do to nourish our creative spirit and then honor the intuitive guidance we get.
