Primary issues to address relative to our inner creative power

Once we access the feelings to create or the feelings arise based on our past programming there appears to be two way or two parts to access our creative power. Observation has shown there appears to be an inner creative power and an outer creative power. That is, we have an ability within ourselves to cause something new and not previously experienced to come into existence. Similarly there are things we can do externally or outside ourselves which give us the ability to cause something new and not previously experienced to come into existence.

Experiencing these two creative powers as separated is nicely said in an old Arab proverb, “Trust in God but tether you camel.” That is, there are things the outer creative powers/Creative Powers are responsible for doing and there are things the inner creative powers/Creative Powers are responsible for doing. We cannot expect one to do the work of the others. The question is, “When to we look to the inner and when do we look to the outer, or maybe we need to use both?” Accessing creative power is about being able to trust our thinking and to come to know ourselves such that we know when we must go within, when we must go without or we use a combination of inner and outer to get what seek.

Most of our experience with these inner and outer creative powers cause us to think they separate and unrelated. However, ultimately they are interconnected. This discussion addresses the inner creative power as a separate power. Parallel discussions address the outer creative power and how the inner and outer are connected and accessed.

Exploring inner creative power (Top)

When many talk about creative power or accessing creative power they think of creativity and creative power as having creative ideas which can solve the problems they face. They see creativity as something we do inside ourselves. We do something to get an original or creative idea and then act externally in the world to manifest the idea we have. Most do not see learning about how the physical world works as necessarily accessing creative power and lead us to the bridge point of the inner and the outer. If they think of an external creative power, they quickly go to concept of God or its equivalent.

Accessing the external world is not necessarily seen as part of our creative power. When many talk about creative power or accessing creative power, what they are really talking about is inner creative power and what we can do within ourselves to become more creative. Yet, inner creative power goes much deeper than having creative ideas which can solve the problems we face.

Creative power is about feelings. Accessing inner creative power begin with understanding what does or doesn’t allow us to become passionate and/or enthusiastic about engaging life. Accessing our inner creative power is normally seen as doing things which cause us to: become excited, have increased trust and faith, obtain confidence, become inspired, have new and different thoughts and the like. In essence, it is about anything that allows us to become excited enough to step out and bring something new and significantly different from the past into the manifestation. Some times we do it consciously but more often than not we do it subconsciously.

Three aspects to inner creative power (Top)

It is here there is a split in our inner creative power. There is the aspect of inner power as to what gives us creative ideas. Then there is that aspect which makes us passionate and excited about engaging life. Then there is a deeper part. The deeper part goes to the essence of who and what we are as opposed to who and what we believe we are as a result of the experiences we have had in this life. This deeper part goes to the bridge point of the inner and the outer.

Most of our creative effort, whether done individually or collectively as in an organization or company, we look to see what gives us creative ideas. We look find ways to think different and/or perceive differently to get a creative idea or concept which will solve the problem we face. Similarly, individually and collective we look at “motivation” and look to see what causes us to become excited about the task at hand. Most of what we do to access inner creative power stays at these levels. However there is a deeper level.

The deeper level of our inner creative power is reflective of the human conditions as seen from the creativity perspective. That is, there are few who have explore the true depth and breadth of the inner creative power available to us. Most stop somewhere in the journey in the valley of contentment. That is, they get pass what issue causes them to explore into the depth of their being and then stop when the find a place of comfort. Few continue the journey to its depths. It is at these deeper levels of our being we access the place where we create health, or illness, accident and/or disease. It is at these deeper levels we find we are the creator of our experiences and the reality of our experience. The question is, “Why would we want to explore these deeper levels of our being if we can satisfaction and contentment at shallower levels?” The answer is, “There is no reason to do so - it all depends on what we wish to create in, and with, our life.”

In discussing our inner creative power and how we access the animating energy of life, it needs to be noted and emphasized that no book, no external teacher, no external authority can tell us exactly how to best direct our energy for ourselves and the common good. We, ourselves, must go within and explore our own true nature to answer that question and whatever answer we get will most probably not look like what we think we should do or expect. All that can be done here is bring our awareness to the fact that we are capable of controlling and directing the energy that sustains and animates our physical body. We will have to explore the best ways to do so. What is provided here can only provide some ways that may be useful in learning how to direct and control that energy. The work to do so is our choice to make.

Origins of all our creative power (Top)

The role of consciousness is to be the cause of our experiences. It is to be the cause of creation. Our internal creative power arises from what we think and believe aligning with the flow of our creative life energy, the feminine aspect of our being. From the perspective of the inner creative power and outer creative power being separate, external creative power is access through the experiences of mind and our understanding of how external creation appears to work. But to access and use the external creative power we still need to have the passion and energy to act on what we know about the external world

At a very shallow level, we can access creative power through mind by rearranging what we think and believe to get creative ideas. We can then act to manifest those ideas. At a deeper level, our internal creative power is accessed through surrender to the flow of energy that sustains us and flows from the Source of Creation. However, most of us are trained to access creative power by our enculturated mind which has been trained to do our bidding in the external world and harness our inner feminine to supply the energy to do that bidding. Nevertheless, in the end, our creative power ultimately comes from accessing the inner feminine and learning how to use the feminine power and feminine aspect of the creative process to support our actions in the world.

Finding creative ideas and creative concepts (Top)

The main issue in finding creative ideas is that the mind that created the problem we face will not provide the solution. To find the solution we seek, we need to be out of mind and in a state of creative play. How we get out of mind is our choice. Many refuse to change their thinking until they become desperate and/or it becomes so painful they have no choice but to look outside what they think and believe. A “not doing” practice is probably the quickest way to get out of mind. As for entering a state of creative play, that will depend entirely whether or not we are willing to face the pain of the past. It is the pain of the past that is associated with the lost of our creative play why we shutdown our creative play in the first place.

To find those creative ideas and creative solutions, we need is to explore how and why we think the way we do. We need to become mindful and aware of the thought we have and pull the string to why we have the particular thoughts we do in a given situation. We begin the process with observing the thought we have, the choices we make and the longings we hold in our mind and our heart.

Accessing passion (Top)

Accessing passion is about learning to understand what allows us to feel. To access our creative passion we must be open to feeling at every level of our being. How we choose to open our being at each of these levels is our choice. What we will need to do at each of these levels will be unique. We can use the advice and recommendations of others and maybe even allow them to guide us. However, ultimately it is our journey and on we know how and what we feel in any situation. We must free to discover and explore what we feel and why we feel what we do. For most of us we will have to face the pain as to why we shutdown our ability to feel the subtle energy of Creation. Most of us will have to explore what really makes us excited about life and what is it we need to do to feel a passion for life and for living for it is only in the passion and feelings to act that we become creative.

Exploring the deeper levels of our inner creative power (Top)

Exploring the deeper levels of our inner creative power starts with holding our creativity sacred, returning to a state of creative play and being free to explore and experiment with what we feel and look to our intuitive guidance as to how to proceed in our exploration of the deeper levels of our being.

The key understanding about our inner creative power and beginning this deeper journey is that our creative life energy goes where we focus our attention and awareness. If we direct the energy based on our ego needs and see ourselves separate and an observer of Creation who stands apart from Creation and others, we will be directing the energy away from exploring the deeper levels of our being. To stay in what we think and believe, we nourish and nurture our ego and the ego does not allow us to see Creation for what it is. As discussed in the creative/creation process, we are part of a larger process. The ego arises from the experiences we have had and, as such, is the result of the larger process we wish to explore. As long as we feed the ego, we stay within the process.

However if we can step out of mind and transcend our ego identity and who we think we are because of the experiences we have had, we can being to see the creative/creation processs. We can come to understand how we are a detached witness having a particular experience. In this awareness we affect and influence everything we think about and how we choose to observe Creation. Here we will begin to channel the ourcreative life energy in a different way. As a detached witness, we will change ourselves and all of Creation. Here we being to step into the true depth of our creative power and creative ability.

Primary issues to address relative to our inner creative power (Top)

The primary issue we face relative to access our inner creative power is to learn to create experiences which serves us and will create a life worth living We need to become aware of the fact we can channel our energy in a way that is best for us and others or in a way that is ultimately destructive to ourselves and others. The only question is, "How do we chose to channel it?"
